Mixed news for Reds on the fitness front as Arne Slot’s side look to extend title advantage
Liverpool will remain without goalkeeper Alisson Becker for Sunday’s Premier League trip to Southampton.
Arne Slot takes his table-topping side to St Mary’s on Sunday, looking to pick up where they left off before the international break.
Brazilian international Alisson returned to training last week after a hamstring injury but will not be available for the journey to the south coast. Captain Virgil van Dijk, however, is fit after returning from Netherlands duty early.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to miss out too, though there is hope that he can return before the Real Madrid game in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Harvey Elliott is back in training, while Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are still both some way weeks from training.
"Virgil is all good, he's training with us today. Trent isn't training with us yet, but he's getting there so we expect him to be back with us soon,” said Slot on Friday.

"Harvey is training with us again, so that's a positive. He's been out for many weeks but he's on the training ground again with the team so that's a positive for him.
“Jota is still away from the group, the same as Federico who is coming back into the session maybe one exercise today, so they are all expected to be back within now and a few weeks.”
