Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has been one of the players most prominently linked with FC Barcelona this summer.
The 28-year-old attacker is seen as the priority target by the Blaugrana to reinforce the left flank, with the club even making an approach to Liverpool this week only to be turned down.
Despite that, the Colombian international remains a subject of interest for the La Liga champions and they may have received some encouragement in pursuit of the player.
In a recent media interaction, Luis Diaz opened up on his future, confirming that his camp is in talks with other clubs while at the same time iterating that he is not opposed to the idea of continuing at Liverpool.
“I’m very happy at Liverpool. They’ve treated me well since the first day,” said Diaz, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“We’re talking with other clubs. It’s the transfer window, it’s normal. If Liverpool renews my contract, or if I have to stay the 2 years I have left, I’ll be happy. It’s up to them,” he further added.

Going by his comments, Diaz is leaving the door open for an exit this summer, even confirming talks with interested parties.
However, the final decision will be up to Liverpool and as things stand the Reds have no intentions of letting the Colombian international leave this summer despite no renewal talks taking place.
Only a huge offer could tempt them into considering a sale, something that might be out of the reach for Barcelona given their economic situation.
So, only time will tell if the La Liga champions continue to pursue the 28-year-old winger’s signing or decide to go after alternatives such as Marcus Rashford who could cost much lesser than Diaz.
