Reds set for busy window as Slot targets reinforcements after Premier League title win
Liverpool are determined to kick on and invest in their squad after winning the Premier League.
The Reds had a relatively quiet summer transfer window a year ago after Arne Slot was appointed, but they are expected to be busy this time around.
Liverpool have started the window strongly by tying down key players Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk to new contracts, although Trent Alexander-Arnold has left to join Real Madrid.
Even after they managed to keep hold of Salah, Liverpool are focused on bolstering their attack.
Darwin Nunez has continued to struggle and he finished last season with just seven goals. Federico Chiesa has failed to shine since joining from Juventus for £10million last summer.

Luis Diaz impressed last season but is subject of interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia - which could turn his head.
Cody Gakpo enjoyed his best season in front of goal since joining Liverpool, but the Reds require more firepower to ease the burden on Salah.
A new left-back is on the cards.
Andy Robertson is now 31 and his form dipped at points last season. Kostas Tsimikas’ future is uncertain and he could be allowed to go.
Centre-back is an area that may need strengthening if Ibrahima Konate’s contract situation is not sorted. The Frenchman only has one year left on his deal and is yet to agree fresh terms.
The need for a new right-back following Alexander-Arnold’s departure has already been sorted with the signing of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for £29.5m. Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is joining on July 1 for £29m.

Liverpool are working on a marquee move for Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, who is valued at over £100m.
The Germany playmaker finished with double figures for both goals and assists in the Bundesliga last season.
Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is also on Liverpool’s shortlist and is available for around £45m.
Liverpool had been keen on Kerkez’s team-mate Dean Huijsen, but he has joined Real Madrid. Ajax’s Jorrel Hato has been touted as an alternative solution at centre-back.
In attack, Liverpool have been linked with strikers Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko, and Hugo Ekitike.
Alexander-Arnold has already left, with Liverpool banking £10m after they released him early so Real Madrid could register the right-back for the Club World Cup.
Goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is set to leave due to Mamardashvili arriving. Kelleher is close to joining Brentford as a part of deal that could eventually be worth £18m.
Tsimikas will leave if a deal can be done for a new left-back and a decision will have to be made if Konate does not agree fresh terms.
Harvey Elliott’s future is uncertain due to a lack of minutes, while clubs in Saudi Arabia are chasing Diaz.
