Ryan Gravenberch asks Dutch team-mate to join him at Anfield

While in their last training camp before the end of the international break, Ryan Gravenberch slyly suggested that Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber should join him at Liverpool.

Speaking with Dutch media NOS, an interviewer asked Timber if he would stay at Feyenoord for the rest of his career and while passing by, Gravenberch suggested a move to Liverpool would suit him best!

Having played in the Dutch Eredivisie league for his entire career to date, Timber previously worked under the coaching of Arne Slot at Feyenoord and the Liverpool boss is reportedly a big admirer of the player.

Dietmar Hamann has offered a warning to Liverpool over Jamal Musiala who the Reds are increasingly interested in making a move for.

However, the transfer reportedly collapsed after Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris vetoed the move, leaving Huerta to remain at Pumas.

While Virgil van Dijk remains as dominant as ever in defence for Liverpool and the Netherlands, contract negotiations have stalled and the club may need to look to the future.

Despite being widely considered the best centre-back in the Premier League, the 33-year-old is not getting any younger, and rumours are circulating about potential short-term and long-term replacements.
