The race for Ben White looks set to be a ferocious one this summer, if reports are to be believed.
The defender has had an excellent few seasons as he’s risen from Championship star to potential England regular at the European Championships.
Indeed, he’s in the battle to take one of the defensive spots under Gareth Southgate and the progression he has shown at the likes of Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion before that seems to have caught the eye of several big guns in the Premier League.
According to The Mirror’s John Cross, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are all battling for his signature, with the report claiming that he could be worth around £50m this summer transfer window.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
White is a really good centre-half and it seems more than likely he will be playing for one of the top clubs in the country before too long, with all due respect to Brighton.
Indeed, if he has a good tournament for England they could be falling over themselves to sign him and it just remains to be seen who will get him.
Liverpool, of course, have just boosted their defensive ranks with Ibrahima Konate arriving so it perhaps seems difficult to see the Reds going in for him, even if they are linked.
