Talks with the Egyptian over a contract extension are in the pipeline, though the Reds still have time on their side, with Salah's current deal not due to expire until 2023.

Liverpool are also planning to hold discussions with important trio Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and goalkeeper Alisson.

All three players signed for Liverpool in 2018, with the contracts of van Dijk and Fabinho expiring the same year as Salah's in 2023, while Alisson's ends the following year.
