Liverpool are hoping to conclude a Liverpool to complete a €70m move for Nabil Fekir on Friday.
According to the BBC the deal is close to being sealed, while the Mirror report the French forward will undergo a medical on Friday.
Talks between Liverpool and Lyon must have taken a sudden turn after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said on Thursday nothing would be sealed ahead of the World Cup.
Reports say Fekir has helped force a deal through by telling Lyon he wasn’t interested in joining anyone else but the Reds.
Fekir, who scored 18 goals in Ligue 1 last season, is said to be due on Merseyside this week before France travel to Russia to complete their pre-World Cup training.
Liverpool have already signed midfielders Naby Keïta and Fabinho ahead of next season but 24-year-old Fekir will add another threat to an already electric frontline.
