Liverpool targeting Porto youngster Vieira after stunning EuroU21 display

Liverpool are reportedly targeting young Porto midfielder Fabio Vieira.

The Reds have lost veteran midfielder Gini Wijnaldum on a free transfer this summer.

A replacement is being sought by Jurgen Klopp, but a ready made player is not his only wish.

Portuguese journalist Bruno Andrade, who works for TVI and UOLEsporte, has claimed Vieira is a target for Liverpool and Klopp.

The 21-year-old recently starred for Portugal in the U21 European Championships.

Portugal lost in the final to Germany, but Vieira won the Player of the Tournament award.

Vieira made 19 appearances for Porto this season and three stars.

A product of the Porto academy, Vieira is far from the finished product but possesses immense potential.

He is out of contract in 2022 but is believed to desire an extension with Porto.
