According to a recent report from Liverpool Echo, it was mentioned that Liverpool target Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund has been priced at a whopping £130 million. It is understood that the young talent has garnered attention from other Premier League giants including Manchester City and Manchester United whereas the European Champions Real Madrid are also showing keen interest.

Bellingham’s Impressive Run Of Form For Dortmund

Bellingham had a terrific campaign at Dortmund in his previous campaign as he was responsible for putting in several influential displays at the centre of their midfield. The talented teenager scored six goals and grabbed 14 assists over 45 appearances for the german outfit last season across all fronts. He has also had a solid start to this season, having found the back of the net on two occasions over 9 appearances in this campaign.

He had even taken care of possession when playing his way out from the back, completing 83.7% of his attempted passes faring well at the end of last season and has similarly maintained a pass completion rate of 82.8% until now in the German top flight (stats via whoscored).

Will Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp Make A Move For Him?

The earlier reports mentioned that the German outfit could be convinced with a £100 million offer but the asking price has significantly increased within a short period as the youngster continues to attract interest. At the age of 19, he has impressed a lot of clubs with his consistent displays in the centre of the park, so it is natural for Dortmund to value him at a higher price.

It would come as no surprise if a massive fee could be demanded by the Bundesliga club when the performances of the English midfielder are assessed after the FIFA World Cup. However, the Reds do not have a huge player sale to contribute to the transfer fee which means Jurgen Klopp would certainly refrain from paying such a massive amount.

It would be wise of the German tactician to look elsewhere as he could certainly find quality midfielders without having to pay a huge sum for them. It goes without saying that if Dortmund really want to profit from Bellingham’s sale, then they would certainly have to lower their asking price as no club could practically meet their valuation unless that club sells one of their prized assets which will be highly unlikely.
