Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah was left angry being hooked during yesterday's 1-1 draw at Brighton.

Salah started the clash on the south coast with Sadio Mane left on the bench as Jurgen Klopp rotates his squad to cope with a hectic schedule.

Salah, 28, did not feature in their last Premier League game against Leicester due to coronavirus and was withdrawn after an hour against Atalanta in midweek.

But, despite being left fresh to take on Brighton, he was the man to make way for Mane on the hour mark, moments after in-form Diogo Jota had fired the Reds into the lead.

Salah threw his hands up in disgust when his number went up on the board and shook his head as he made his way off the pitch.

After high-fiving Mane, he did not even look in the direction of manager Klopp as he stormed into the stands and took a seat without uttering a word to any team-mates or staff.

Afterwards, Klopp said: “On the day that Mo Salah is fine when he leaves the pitch, then there's something wrong.

“We just have to be careful [with him], he doesn't like that."
