Liverpool ‘Still in the Mix’ for Barcelona and PSG Target Despite Al-Hilal’s Offer to Bayern Munich

The future of Kingsley Coman will be determined this week as a report suggests that the player wants to depart Bayern Munich. Moreover, Al-Hilal are keen on the player, but there are still European suitors for him.

FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Coman, but neither side has made a serious push for the player. Barcelona have Hansi Flick as their manager, who coached Coman with the Bavarian side, and PSG, who are his boyhood club.

So, there’s a connection as to why these two clubs would reportedly have an interest, but there’s another European side linked to Coman. L’Equipe journalist Loïc Tanzi stated that Liverpool are a team in the race for the player during his appearance on L’Équipe de choc.

“He hasn’t agreed to go to Saudi Arabia yet,” Tanzi said (h/t Le10Sport). “He’s waiting to see how things play out over the next few days. The European transfer window closes on Friday, but Saudi Arabia’s is open until September 2nd, so he has time to decide.

“Liverpool is still in the mix, but the challenge is that Al-Hilal’s offer is very tempting for Bayern. It’s not clear if they’ll choose to sell Coman to Liverpool over Al-Hilal.”

Still, L’Equipe also reported that Al-Hilal have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the signing of Coman. So, right now it would seem that the Saudi Arabian side have the lead in this race heading into Friday’s deadline.
