Barcelona sporting director, Deco, is a massive fan of one Liverpool star. He wants him at the club this summer.
AS reports that Barcelona do want to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool this summer. Specifically, though, sporting director Deco wants him.
Diaz is apparently the favourite of Deco, who has loved the Colombian since his time at FC Port. Deco is a former Porto player, of course, having been the star when they won the UEFA Champions League in 2004.

And now he wants Diaz to follow in his footsteps and join Barcelona. However, it won't be simple.
For one, Barcelona can't actually afford Diaz. This absolutely won't happen without at least one major sale, and the report suggests Raphinha will be that sale - or at least, that's the plan.
Diaz would take his place in the team, making it feel like a natural upgrade for Barcelona. Though, they'd still need to convince Liverpool that a sale is in the Reds' best interests.
So how likely is that?
It seems there's a genuine chance of it, yes. Allegedly, there's some talk about it at Liverpool's training ground and the Reds do have a plethora of forwards at the moment.
If Arne Slot would like anyone new up top - given Liverpool's inconsistencies there to end the last campaign - they'd have to sell someone. Diaz makes the most sense, we'd argue.
And the player himself has some justification for pushing towards a move.
But there's no reason to expect a transfer to happen. That's the important thing to note here - nothing from the Liverpool side suggests they're actively trying to sell.
Barcelona, too, lack the funds to make anything happen right now. Until they find quite a lot of money, they're in no position to sign Diaz.
So while it's one to watch this summer, no one should be holding their breath on it.
