Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool is up in the air, with his current contract set to expire next June. Recently, there have been rumors linking the star winger to Paris Saint-Germain, but they’re not the only club interested.

Saudi Arabian teams are also keen to bring the UEFA Champions League winner to their league. Moreover, Saudi Pro League chief Michael Emenalo mentioned that Salah wasn’t ready to leave Liverpool last season, but he hinted that a move could still be on the cards in the future.

Emenalo told The Obi One Podcast (h/t GOAL): “I think it depends on Mo. The stories that our teams went after him was true, it is true, there was an interest. But just like [Victor] Osimhen, it’s ok for me to have an interest in signing Mo, but the club have to have an interest in letting him go, and if those things don’t align, you don’t have a deal.

“Fundamentally, Liverpool didn’t want to sell and what price were we willing to buy at? I didn’t feel the player was ready to come because he felt like he had unfinished business.”

One of the latest updates on Salah comes from Fichajes, who reports that PSG manager Luis Enrique has his eyes on the forward. According to the report, PSG are determined to sign the winger, with the goal of keeping him at the top level of European football.

In the past two years, the Ligue 1 side has focused on developing young talent, but they also need experienced veterans to guide them. A short-term deal with Salah could offer these young players a role model to learn from, especially someone who has won major trophies throughout his club career.
