Kostas Tsimikas has been spotted back in Liverpool training as the Greek international recovers from injury.

The full-back has struggled for game time this year, as expected, with him second choice down the left-side of defence behind Andy Robertson.

Indeed, the last time we saw him was in the dead rubber against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League and that is where he picked up his injury.

However, in a boost to the Reds’ squad for the second half of the season, he has returned to training, as shown on the club’s official website, and will be eager to play his part in the coming months.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Tsimikas will be eager to stay fit now and prove that he can push Andy Robertson all the way for a spot in the Reds’ side.

The Scottish international has impressed this season and that is probably in part thanks to the new challenge Tsimikas has brought, even if he’s had a few fitness issues.

He is back training now, though, and with the Reds still in the Champions League and FA Cup, as well as going for the Premier League title, there are plenty of games left for him to be involved in.
