Liverpool sign Calvin Ramsay: Video of his unreal skills at 12 years old re-emerges | OneFootball

Liverpool announced the signing of Calvin Ramsay on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds have paid Aberdeen £6.5m for the 18-year-old.

Ramsay, a right-back, spoke to Liverpool’s website about his playing style following the move.

He said: “So obviously I’m a right-back, pretty attacking, I like to attack. I’m OK defensively as well but my main attribute is attacking – I can put good crosses in, I like to get shots away, both feet, cutting inside, going down the line, linking up with my winger.

“But just mainly I like to work hard, work hard for the team, put in a shift. I’ll try to do my best for the club and I’m looking forward to it.”

Although prominently a defender, Ramsay has an impressive array of skills.

And a video has re-emerged emphasising that point.

Ramsay is only 18 but has already turned heads during his time as a professional footballer.

He made his debut for the Aberdeen in 2021 at the age of just 16.

The full-back, who has been capped three times by Scotland’s U21s, played 33 times for The Dons in the 2021/22 season.

Liverpool look to have got a real gem. If he keeps progressing, he could be a real star for the club for many years to come.
