In a recent report, Laola1 has claimed that Liverpool are showing serious interest in Red Bull Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi. It is understood that the Reds could face competition from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in pursuit of the German striker.

Adeyemi’s Impressive Numbers At The Red Bull Arena This Season

The 19-year-old has made an incredible start to this campaign as he has produced several eye-catching displays as the focal point of Salzburg’s attack. Adeyemi has banged in 14 goals and picked up two assists in 18 matches for the Austrian outfit this season on all fronts.

The talented teenager has proven himself to be a consistent performer in Europe where he is averaging 3.0 shots, 1.3 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game in the UEFA Champions League. However, the German sensation needs to improve his overall link-up play based on his pass completion rate of 65% in European football (stats via whoscored).

What Will Adeyemi Bring To Liverpool?

Adeyemi is a quick and agile forward who can make some clever runs with the ball in the attacking end of the pitch. He has proven his worth as a regular goal-getter in Austrian and European football and can even chip in by picking up some important assists for his team.

The German striker has got a good leap in him that helps him win some 50-50 aerial duels in the opponent’s half. However, Adeyemi needs to take care of the ball a bit better if he intends to be a successful footballer for a top club like Liverpool someday.

Right now, Jurgen Klopp has already got Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino as his first-choice centre-forwards. Still, Adeyemi would be an upgrade over Divock Origi which makes him a good option for the Reds to pursue next year.

We can expect him to bring plenty of pace and goals to Klopp’s frontline at Anfield as long as he can make a smooth transition to life in English football. At 19, the RB Salzburg whizkid is in for a very promising future in European football, so the Liverpool boss should think about engineering a concrete move to bring him to Merseyside.
