Liverpool scouts watch Japanese SENSATION Yuito Suzuki score two more for Brondby | OneFootball

Liverpool scouts were in attendance for the recent Danish Superliga championship round fixture between Brondby and FC Midtjylland, where emerging Japanese star Yuito Suzuki scored twice.

Reporting by Discovery, as detailed in Bold.dk, revealed that representatives from Liverpool as well as fellow Premier League sides Manchester City and Tottenham were at the Brondby Stadion to run the rule over potential recruits on April 21.

Also present were Bundesliga sides Stuttgart, Union Berlin, Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg, Serie A team Parma, as well as officials from Ajax, Real Sociedad, Nantes and Genk.

Danish media reports that the presence of so many scouts was connected to the recent incredible form shown by Brondby’s Japanese forward Suzuki.

The 22-year-old transferred to Denmark from J2 League side Shimizu S-Pulse last summer, signing a four-year contract. He had previously been on loan at Strasbourg in France.

The attacker took his time to get going in front of goal but has been a revelation in the last few weeks.

Since the Superliga championship round commenced, Suzuki has scored three times in five games, adding another four assists.

He decided the game in question with a pair of first-half goals, including one incredible effort from outside the area, and netted again last weekend.

Carsten V. Jensen, Brondby’s executive director of football, was quizzed about the list of scouts last week, confirming the presence of many of Europe’s top clubs.

“I don't know where they got that information from,” he said of Discovery’s reporting. “I have of course seen the clubs that visit Brondby, and I can recognise some of those clubs there.

“But apart from that, Suzuki is just a skilled player with a flair you don't see every day.”

Brondby are determined to keep hold of Suzuki for another season at least, with the side close to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round as they currently lead the Danish title race thanks to Suzuki's goals.

“As a starting point, we would like to keep him, but you can never say never in this industry," Jensen said. "The goal is, of course, to stay in Brondby for a slightly longer period before moving on. The goal is for him to play in Brondby next season.”

Dario Osorio is a Chilean winger who plays on the right side of attack and who according to Bocsak has been on the Liverpool radar for a long time, while forward Franculino Dju is an ex-Benfica youth who has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 28 games this season and plays either on the wing or up top.

Liverpool's transfer plans are still up in the air heading into the summer, with incoming sporting director Richard Hughes officially starting work in June.

There have been reports of a bid for Willian Pacho, an Eintracht Frankfurt centre back, while Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres has also been mentioned as a possible arrival.

The future of Mohamed Salah will need to be sorted out while there could be a bid from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
