ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Ramos’ current contract expires in the summer, which means that he will be a free agent by the end of June.

Therefore, Ramos will be available on a free transfer. However, we don’t want Liverpool to make a move for the Spaniard.

Going by the aforementioned report, the Reds will be avoiding signing Ramos, which is great news.

There is no denying that Ramos has been a superb player. Ramos has made 668 appearances for one of the biggest clubs in world football in Real Madrid.

However, Ramos is 34 years of age. He is very much at the backend of his career. We would rather see the club sign a centre-back that has the potential to improve.

Besides, we can’t forget what Ramos did to Mohamed Salah in the 2018 Champions League final.

Ramos pulled Salah down, which saw the Egyptian international injure his shoulder. Salah was forced off the ground in the first half as a result.
