Liverpool were linked with a move for West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen during the 2021 summer transfer window.
However, the 24-year-old remained at the Olympic Stadium. According to the Independent, as cited by LFC Transfer Room’s Twitter account, Liverpool are still interested in Bowen.
The report states that the forward remains on the club’s ‘shortlist’. The report further adds that Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Bowen.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We would not be against Liverpool making a move for Bowen because he is a solid young player. The 24-year-old winger has scored nine goals and registered 11 assists in 60 appearances for West Ham United.
Bowen is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.52 in the early stages (five matches) of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
The aforementioned figures highlight that the attacker is capable of performing in England’s top division of football.
Bowen’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, so a free transfer is off the table for the time being.
Transfermarkt value the winger at €30 million.
