Liverpool reportedly lead the race to sign Real Madrid shot-stopper
Anfield Watch
Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, according to The Mirror's James Nursey, as cited by Twitter user @DaveOCKOP.
The report further adds that Liverpool want the Ukraine international to be their new No.3 goalkeeper. Adrian currently holds the aforementioned position, but the 35-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.
Lunin possesses a current market value of €2 million.
Liverpool do possess a number of young goalkeepers (Alisson, Caoimhin Kelleher and Marcelo Pitaluga).
Therefore, we would be surprised if the Reds were to make a move for Lunin in the near future.
However, we strongly believe that you can never have too many good players on your list.
Footage of Lunin highlights that he is a very promising goalkeeper.
With that being the case, we would not be against Liverpool making a move for the youngster.
Only time will tell if the Reds are genuinely interested in signing Lunin.
