ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

At Anfield Watch, we have not seen much of the 18-year-old. However, Cabral appears to be a very bright talent going by YouTube footage.

The above footage highlights that Cabral is a good passer and decision-maker.

We do find it interesting that it has been reported that Liverpool could make a move for Cabral this month.

The reality is, Liverpool are short in defence at the moment because Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are all injured.

With that being the case, it would make more sense to spend money on a centre-back rather than an 18-year-old midfielder.

Cabral should not be a priority for Liverpool at the moment. The Reds have a number of options in midfield such as Thiago Alcantara, Gini Wijnaldum, James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Only time will tell if the aforementioned report is true.
