ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We have no idea how true the aforementioned report is.

There is no denying that Lewandowski is a top player. The forward has scored 304 goals and registered 65 assists in 335 appearances for Bayern Munich’s first-team.

Lewandowski is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 8.34 in the early parts of the 2021-22 Bundesliga season, which highlights that he is still performing at 33 years of age.

However, we would prefer to see Liverpool go out and sign a younger forward. The reality is, Lewandowski is at the backend of his career,

Therefore, it would be fair to assume that Liverpool would only get a few years out of the Bayern Munich striker.
