Liverpool 'reject' permanent transfer offer for Fábio Carvalho | OneFootball

Liverpool are in the middle of a midfield revolution but are not willing to allow one young name to depart them altogether.

According to The Athletic, the club have ‘rejected a permanent transfer’ for 20-year-old Fábio Carvalho.

The offer arrived from an unnamed club that is ‘understood not to be Portugal’ despite earlier rumours in the transfer news cycle.

Instead, as Jürgen Klopp admitted last week, the plan is to perhaps send Carvalho on loan as he remains one of the most improved stars under the German.

As such, the report adds  Premier League clubs are already interested in signing the talent temporarily next season.

“This was not Fabio’s best year in his career but it might have been his most important,” said Klopp. “No player has impressed me more than Fabio. It is true.”

During his time with Liverpool this season Carvalho made 21 appearances and registered three goals.
