Liverpool recall Fábio Carvalho from RB Leipzig loan | OneFootball

Liverpool have recalled Fábio Carvalho from his loan spell at RB Leipzig.

Carvalho joined the Bundesliga outfit for the duration of the campaign but made just 15 appearances in all competitions.

The Portugal under-21 international is now set to return to Anfield ahead of the second half of the season with Jürgen Klopp’s side.

“Fábio Carvalho has returned to Liverpool from his loan spell with RB Leipzig,” confirmed a Reds’ statement.

“The attacker comes back to the Reds having spent the first half of 2023-24 in the Bundesliga and made 15 appearances for Die Roten Bullen, whom he had initially joined on a season-long deal.

“Carvalho arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2022 and has featured 21 times under Jürgen Klopp to date, scoring three goals.”

Carvalho rejoins Liverpool ahead of Monday’s Premier League clash with Newcastle, a fixture where he scored the winner against last season.
