It is believed that the Reds have been closely monitoring his progress in Turkish football since last season and are now ready to launch a move to bring the talented goalkeeper to Anfield in the summer (via Fanatik).

Cakir’s Growing Influence In Turkish Football

Cakir is experiencing one of the best seasons of his young career as he has managed to be a consistent performer for his current employers over the past ten months. The Turkish shot-stopper has made 36 appearances for Trabzonspor this term, conceding 34 goals and securing 13 clean sheets across all competitions.
