Liverpool continue to march on confidently both domestically and in Europe under Arne Slot.

The Reds have won all six matches in the Champions League so far to set the pace and they are doing likewise in the Premier League, four points clear of nearest challengers Chelsea with a game in hand.

They could have that extra match for some time, with the postponed Merseyside derby against Everton not likely to be played until much later in the season.

Alexis Mac Allister was due to be suspended for that match, but will instead serve the ban this weekend when Fulham visit Anfield. Slot will hope to avoid any further absentees due to suspension over the Christmas period.

Which Liverpool players are close to a suspension?

A one-match ban is handed out to players who pick up five yellow cards in the first 19 matches of the Premier League season, with 10 bookings then the mark for a suspension in the second half of the campaign, up to the 32-game point.

However, while for most clubs that means they must be careful until the final round of games in 2024, Liverpool have a little longer to wait.

Best behaviour: Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch must avoid being booked in the next five matches

As the Merseyside derby against Everton was postponed, the Reds will not play their 19th match of the season until January 5, when they host Manchester United.

Ryan Gravenberch is the big suspension concern for Slot. The Dutchman has started every game in the league so far, but has been booked in his last two matches and is now only one away from a ban.

He must survive fixtures against Fulham, Tottenham, Leicester, West Ham and Manchester United without a single yellow card if he is to avoid a suspension.

Ibrahima Konate also has four yellow cards to his name but is currently out injured, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunez are among those currently two bookings away from trouble.
