Young Liverpool player Adam Lewis has sealed a loan exit with him heading north of the border for the season as he links up with Scottish side Livingston FC.

The left-back isn’t quite ready to be breaking into the first team just yet, with Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas ahead of him in that particular pecking order.

The 21-year-old, though, has plenty of time to change that and he gets a good opportunity to be playing at a good level next season to keep improving, with him signing on a season-long deal with the Scottish Premiership side:

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Livingston finished sixth last season in the Scottish Premiership and will be looking to improve on that next year if they can.

Facing big teams like Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs will be a great experience for Lewis, too, who continues on his path of progression after spending time at Amiens in France and then Plymouth Argyle last season in Sky Bet League One.

He’s certainly getting to play in different countries and in lots of different levels of football so all these experiences should help him along as he pushes to make it at Liverpool.
