Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been backed to find another Premier League side if Liverpool opt to let the midfielder go in the summer transfer window.

The former Arsenal star has been linked away from the Reds by Spanish outlet Fichajes recently with it claimed that the likes of Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund would be interested in getting him in.

However, speaking to The Transfer Tavern, former Premier League manager Paul Jewell has suggested that he could still do a job in the top flight in his country too.

He said:

“There’s no doubt about it he could do it for Southampton, he’s just been unlucky with injuries has Oxlade-Chamberlain which has been unfortunate for him and I think it was against Roma when he got a really bad knee injury.

“That would have been really hard for him to come back from but he’s still young enough so I’m sure he could do a job in most Premier League teams.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

It does seem fair to suggest that Oxlade-Chamberlain could do a good job elsewhere in the Premier League if Liverpool do decide to move him on this summer.

He has quality, it’s just his fitness that has let him down and time will ultimately tell as to whether this is his last season in the red of Liverpool.
