Jürgen Klopp’s side is linked with a plethora of midfielders – with Emre Can out of contract next season and showing no sign of putting pen to paper on a new deal. It is heavily rumoured he will join Juventus.

Cook skippered the England under-20s to World Cup glory in South Korea and was included in the senior team last fall when they faced Brazil in a friendly.

The defensive midfielder joined from boyhood club Leeds United in July 2016 in a deal that could be as much as €11.3m and could be rewarded with a new contract.
