Liverpool management confident of Bellingham commitment

Liverpool management are confident of the commitment of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The Daily Mail says Liverpool are 'expecting' to sign Bellingham next summer.

The Reds have been linked with teenage sensation Bellingham for some time - with reports suggesting a deal could happen this year - but Dortmund's £100million valuation has kept potential suitors at bay for now.

But Jurgen Klopp has earmarked next summer as the point at which the German outfit will cash in before Bellingham's value diminishes due to a 2025 contract.

The report also suggests that Liverpool are looking at potential short-term midfield options this summer after a litany of injuries. The club are also happy to risk losing Naby Keita on a free next summer as contract negotiations stall - although they would prefer to sign the midfielder on a new deal.
