Paris Saint-Germain were closely monitoring Hugo Ekitike’s potential transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt due to a 20 percent sell-on clause that could net the French club a financial boost if a deal goes through.
Newcastle reportedly remain interested in Ekitike as a possible replacement for Alexander Isak. The club had previously targeted the forward during his time at PSG, and CaughtOffside reported that another Premier League team was also pursuing the 22-year-old.
Manchester United are reportedly in the mix as well. According to Football Insider, United had been tracking Ekitike’s progress at Frankfurt while scouting for a new No. 9 ahead of the summer transfer window.

BILD reports Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle are all showing interest in Hugo Ekitiké, with scouts and even club executives keeping a close eye on the forward. The level of attention suggests a serious push could be coming from the Premier League.
Eintracht Frankfurt, aware of the growing interest, are now set to demand a fee between €95 million and €100 million for Ekitiké this summer.
According to the Daily Mail’s Lewis Steele, the 6-foot-3 striker has now become the player the Reds are “most interested in” ahead of the transfer window. In a Q&A for the Mail, Steele responded:
“Hugo Ekitike is the name that pops up the most when I speak to people, so I think it is fair to say he is one to keep a close eye on.”
“The France Under 21 star has scored 19 goals and made eight assists for Eintracht Frankfurt this season and ticks a lot of boxes in terms of his age profile and experience – he is playing every week in a top league and has European experience, too.”
