Liverpool are reportedly ready to ‘make a huge push’ for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar this summer.
Aouar has been a standout performer for Les Gones this season, scoring seven goals and assisting 11 in 40 appearances.
According to RMC, Jürgen Klopp is a long-time admirer and has already urged board members to sign the 20-year-old.
Lyon are preparing to fend off interest for a number of players, including Tanguy Ndombélé and Ferland Mendy who are wanted by Juventus and Barcelona respectively.
Club president Jean-Michel Aulas, however, has insisted that Aouar is “off the market – at any price”.
Liverpool have a questionable history with the Ligue 1 side after their €53m move for Nabil Fekir mysteriously collapsed last July.
