Hato is naturally a central defender, but he is versatile enough to operate as a fullback. He could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Liverpool.

The 18-year-old is highly rated across Europe and Liverpool could nurture him into a key player. They are not the only English club keen on the defender and they will face competition from Manchester United and Arsenal as well.

Jorrel Hato would improve Liverpool and Man United

Liverpool need to find a quality alternative to Joel Matip who will be a free agent in the summer and Hato certainly fits the profile.

At Arsenal, they already have a number of central defenders at their disposal and signing Hato would be a bit of a surprise. The 18-year-old needs to join a club where he will get ample first team action and that might not be possible at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Manchester United could certainly use defensive reinforcements, especially with the likes of Jonny Evans leaving in the summer. He could prove to be a quality replacement for Evans and he could form a solid partnership with Lisandro Martinez at the heart of the Manchester United defence in the coming seasons.

The left footed central defender is likely to be attracted to the idea of joining clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United in the summer and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
