Liverpool have reportedly joined the transfer race for Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.

The Reds have had a quiet summer transfer window but things could change before the end of August as they are being linked with several top players.

According to the Sun, they have joined Newcastle United and Manchester United in the transfer battle for Guehi.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new centre-back despite bringing in Leny Yoro and have been linked with the 24-year-old.

However, Newcastle were the first club to enter meaningful talks with Palace (The Athletic).

Liverpool are looking to sign a long-term successor for Joel Matip, who left Anfield at the end of his contract in June.

They have identified Guehi as an ideal option, but a deal is not expected to be easy. The Eagles are demanding £75 million to sanction an exit this summer.

Guehi was a key part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad at the 2024 European Championship.

He has a contract at Palace until 2026, and they are unlikely to sell him unless receiving a big offer.
