Liverpool are the latest side to be credited with an interest in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.
Adeyemi was heavily linked with a move away from Dortmund last season, with Chelsea regularly touted as suitors, and reports in Germany state the Blues remain interested as they continue their search for a left-sided forward.
Chelsea are by no means alone in their pursuit of Adeyemi, who finds himself a key part of the speculation surrounding the future of Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho. Napoli want to sign the Red Devils forward but have identified Adeyemi as a possible alternative, while Chelsea are also tracking both players.
Now, Corriere dello Sport add Liverpool's name to the mix, noting Arne Slot's side are keep tabs on developments in the 23-year-old's future.
It is believed that Adeyemi has expressed doubts about leaving Dortmund mid-season, which comes as a boost to Liverpool as they are the only suitor not pursuing a January move for the Germany international.
That reluctance to leave Dortmund this month prompted reports that Napoli have reignited their interest in Garnacho, but the Serie A side have not yet abandoned hope of landing Adeyemi, who is expected to cost less than the United forward.
Should Adeyemi remain with Dortmund until the summer, Liverpool could pursue a deal as a number of the Reds' current crop of forwards are facing uncertain futures.
Mohamed Salah is in the final six months of his contract and has regularly acknowledged the fact he could leave for free this summer, while both Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez have been linked with big-money exits from Anfield.
