Liverpool are in the process of selling Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich. The Colombian moves to Bavaria for a fee of around £65m and there is currently uncertainty over how the club’s sporting director Richard Hughes plans to replace him.
The Reds have got plenty of left-wing cover in the shape of Cody Gakpo and teen sensation Rio Ngumoha. And that’s before we factor in the presence of TWO new faces.

Florian Wirtz has been signed as a No10 but don’t be surprised if Arne Slot opts to line the Germany international up from the left. Hugo Ekitike, meanwhile, is a striker by trade but is seen by club recruiters as a performer in the left-wing position.
It has been suggested that instead of focussing on a like-for-like replacement for Diaz, Liverpool could channel his transfer proceeds into a deal for Alexander Isak.
But another option is emerging in the shape of Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze. The 27-year-old is a capable player down the left side but comes with the added versatility to play on the right and even in attacking midfield.
Eze, an England international, scored eight goals and made eight assists for Palace in the Premier League last season - catching the eye of Liverpool’s recruitment staff.
It’s been reported in Caught Offside that Liverpool are now in the running to sign Eze - who has got a £68m release clause in his Palace contract.
He is under contract until 2027 but Palace would probably sanction a deal this summer so long as a replacement is sourced.
Liverpool are by no means frontrunners for Eze, according to the report, with Arsenal keen on landing the former QPR star. Mikel Arteta’s side are prepared to offer £38m up front and £30m over two years - the report claims.
But Bayern, fresh from signing Diaz, could ALSO make a play for Eze and reunite him with former Palace teammate Michael Olise.
