Liverpool have reportedly joined Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the transfer race for Paris Saint-Germain star Randal Kolo Muani.
The 26-year-old was tipped to become one of the biggest European stars when he joined PSG in 2023.
However, the move hasn’t worked out for the centre-forward and he has fallen out of favour under manager Luis Enrique.
The Frenchman has made 10 Ligue 1 appearances this season, with just two starts to his name.
PSG are willing to let Kolo Muani leave on loan in the January transfer window but want to include an obligation to buy.
According to reputed journalist Florian Plettenberg, there is a strong chance the forward will move to the Premier League.
Liverpool have reportedly gathered information regarding the player, but nothing concrete has happened yet.
Man Utd are also keen on Kolo Muani but do not expect a January transfer. Meanwhile, Tottenham and RB Leipzig have also been credited with an interest.
Liverpool have Darwin Nunez as a striker, but he isn’t a reliable goalscorer.
Nunez has only scored 37 goals in 118 appearances across all competitions since joining the Reds in 2022.
United manager Ruben Amorim has endured a difficult start to his tenure at Old Trafford.
Given the club’s woeful scoring record this season, he may want to bolster their attack with a quality striker like Kolo Muani.
Tottenham have also been in the market for a top forward, as they are frustrated with Richarlison’s injury issues.
The Brazilian has been limited to only five substitute appearances this season due to fitness problems.
