Liverpool have made an enquiry about the availability of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pedro Neto, according to 90min.
The report states that Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus have also reached out to Wolves regarding Neto’s availability this summer.
Wolves are reportedly open to selling Neto this summer. However, the club will not allow the 21-year-old to leave on the cheap.
Neto’s current contract does not expire until June 2025.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We would love to see Neto at Anfield. There is no denying that the 21-year-old is a talented player.
Neto averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.11 across 31 Premier League games last season.
However, if Liverpool were to sign Neto this summer, he would miss the beginning of the 2021-22 season. The forward is recovering from a knee injury.
Neto is expected to return from the aforementioned injury on the 14th of August.
Liverpool’s first game of the Premier League season takes place on the same day. Liverpool will travel to Carrow Road to play against Norwich City.
Despite that being the case, we would still like to see Liverpool sign Neto this summer. As Neto is only 21 years of age, he would very much be a long-term investment for the club.
Neto possesses a current market value of €35 million.
