Liverpool goalkeeper Rachael Laws has signed a contract extension with the club ahead of the new season.

The Reds announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

In her time with Liverpool, Laws has become something of a fans’ favourite. The player has represented the club on 78 occasions in league competition. She was a Barclays Women’s Super League winner with Liverpool in 2013 while she helped guide the club to the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2021/2022.

Laws is a player who has continued to improve alongside the development of the professional game and she will be hoping to enjoy plenty more success with Liverpool after extending her deal with The Reds.

After signing on again with Liverpool, Laws said “I’m buzzing, I’m absolutely buzzing! This club means so much to me and it’s like my second home.

“I’ve been here a long time now to know what the club means to myself, my family and my friends even. They are always asking, so to sign a new deal here means the world to me.”

Laws is the second player to sign a new contract with Liverpool so far this summer.
