Liverpool forward Salah shrugs off individual praise after Man Utd hat-trick | OneFootball

Mohamed Salah insists Liverpool's performances are far more important to him than his own output.

The Egyptian became the first opposition player to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford as Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners over Manchester United on Sunday.

Salah now has 15 goals in 12 matches so far this season, but the 29-year-old is focused on winning silverware with his teammates over individual accolades.

"To be fair, as [long] as the team keep winning, I'm more than happy," Salah said.

"I'm always trying to give assists – the first one I could have gone alone but I gave it to Naby. I'm trying always to give my best for the team to win, which is the most important thing."

He added: "We won the Premier League two years ago, we know what it takes. It's still one game.

"Of course, you win away against Man United it's something really big, but still at the end of the day it's three points.

"We need to focus on our games in the cup and then focus on the Premier League in the next game."
