Liverpool fans crying on about the fact that Alexander Isak is still a Newcastle United player.

It’s just not fair they cry.

Alexander Isak should already be at Anfield they declare.

Liverpool fans having seen their team (hilariously) already lose a trophy to Crystal Palace this month.

Apparently it is all the fault of Newcastle United.

Hmmm, an interesting one.

How about this comparison.

Imagine Liverpool fans going in their club shop and seeing the new £85 Liverpool replica home shirt on sale, then picking their size and going to the counter, then finding out that when they offer £60, for some strange reason the staff in the store refuse to sell.

Who would be to blame for the transaction not happening? Newcastle United I guess!!

With the Alexander Isak situation, Liverpool fans blame everyone but the obvious. It is their own club to blame, as to why Alexander Isak is not already a Liverpool player.

If Liverpool were serious about signing Alexander Isak, then they should have approached Newcastle United in May. Remember, even during the final four or five months of last season as they were coasting to the title, neutrals and all Liverpool fans accepted that they needed a new first choice centre-forward.

If Alexander Isak was their top priority, why didn’t they act then, some two and a half months ago?

Instead, they waited until late July and Liverpool fans saw their club make an embarrassingly low offer of £110m for Alexander Isak that Newcastle United rejected out of hand.

Liverpool immediately then bid for Hugo Ekitike instead, who Newcastle United had put an offer in for.

Liverpool signing Ekitike for £80m and then weeks later they still haven’t made another bid for Alexander Isak.

Yet it is the fault of Newcastle United???

Liverpool fans are full of conspiracy theories and convoluted reasoning that blames Newcastle United not their own club.

Apparently, it is Newcastle United’s responsibility to go and invite Liverpool to make another bid for the striker.

Hmmm.

If Liverpool do really want Alexander Isak, what is there to stop them putting in a proper bid of £150m that meets Newcastle’s valuation?

Is there some strange new rule that prevents clubs offering money for a player at another club?

If Liverpool did make a formal £150m bid, there is then something for Eddie Howe and the Newcastle United owners to consider.

As things stand, there is nothing to consider AND that is down to Liverpool.

The thing is as well, it is Liverpool who have made it so much tougher for Newcastle United to sell Alexander Isak AND it is Liverpool who are the club most to blame for creating the current market values.

If Liverpool hadn’t intervened, Hugo Ekitike could now be a Newcastle United player, meaning far more chance of Alexander Isak moving on…if a proper offer made.

Whilst it is Liverpool who have created a new £116m Premier League club spend on player, Florian Wirtz, who has only played in the weaker Bundesliga, in club football.

Then Liverpool paying £80m for Ekitike who has only one good season in his career so far, also in the Bundesliga.

Yet Alexander Isak is worth only £110m after proving himself over three seasons already in the Premier League???

Liverpool fans have seen their own club make up the new rules and now it is down to their club to follow those new transfer rules/guidelines, or else Alexander Isak will be staying at Newcastle United.
