Virgil van Dijk has provided an update on his contract situation following Liverpool's victory over Brentford on Sunday.
The Liverpool captain was asked whether there are any updates on his contract situation, with the Dutchman having entered the final 12 months of his current deal.
"I'm very calm," he said. "I want to be important and stay important for the club."
Liverpool were in control throughout during Arne Slot's second game in charge, against Brentford at Anfield.
Slot's side played some electric attacking football in a 2-0 win which gives them a perfect record under the new manager so far this season.
The dominant performance puts the Reds in a perfect position ahead of next weekend's clash with Manchester United.
Mohamed Salah is one of three Liverpool stars who is in the final year of his contract with the Merseyside giants and he is attracting interest from elsewhere.
In fact, according to Teamtalk, clubs in Saudi Arabia are becoming increasingly more confident in securing the Egyptian international's signature on a free transfer next summer.
The report also claims that Al-Ittihad are one of the main candidates to sign the player, however they will face competition Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli.

Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has given one potential reason for why the club can find it hard to attract players to Anfield.
Liverpool are the only Premier League side not to buy a single first-team player so far this summer, with there being an argument that Arne Slot's squad is weaker than last season due to a number of outgoings.
