Liverpool have confirmed that defender Rhys Williams has joined Aberdeen on loan for the upcoming campaign.
Relations between the two clubs have been strong in recent years, with Leighton Clarkson also moving to Pittodrie on an initial loan which was made permanent this summer, while Calvin Ramsay went in the opposite direction.

Williams has made 19 appearances for the Reds – all of which came during the 2020/21 campaign.
The 22-year-old spent half of last season on loan too, joining Blackpool for the first six months of the season.
