Liverpool defender Alexander-Arnold on Nunez: What a debut! | OneFootball

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold hailed the debut of Darwin Nunez for their Community Shield victory over Manchester City.

Both players scored in the 3-1 win.

Alexander-Arnold later said: "Yeah, it's got to be up there – won the pen, scored a goal and had a one-on-one. He looks lively, very lively. He's someone who has been brought in to score goals, that kind of player for us, and he's proven he can do that today.

"A top player. A young player who you can tell is willing to learn.

"He has bonded well with the lads, everyone has got on well with him. He has come in, got his head down, worked hard so far and knows his position is not just going to be there because we bought him this summer, he's got to earn it. He came on today with a point to prove and he scored us the goal to clinch it and obviously won the pen for us as well."
