Liverpool and Valencia have an agreement in place for Giorgi Mamardashvili to join the Reds.
Talks have been happening between the two clubs on a deal that looked complex and would have seen Mamardashvili go to Bournemouth on loan for a season before going to Liverpool.
Going to the Cherries has since been shelved as an idea by Liverpool and now Mamardashvili will stay at Valencia on loan this season.
An agreement is now in place between both sides which will see Mamardashvili sign for the Reds, according to Spanish outlet Relevo.
Liverpool will pay a fixed fee of €30m, plus a further €5m in add-ons.
Valencia will also have a sell-on clause in the agreement which is set at 10 per cent.
There will be no clause in the loan agreement which will allow Liverpool to take Mamardashvili to Anfield in the January transfer window.
Valencia had been looking for a deal to reach €40m for the goalkeeper, but have settled for €5m less in order to keep hold of him this season.
