Liverpool consider bid for €45M-rated Rennes striker Jeremy Doku | OneFootball

Liverpool are again being linked with Rennes striker Jeremy Doku.

Voetbal24 reports Liverpool scouted Doku during Euro 2020 and were impressed by his form with Belgium.

Doku almost signed for Liverpool as a youth teamer with Anderlecht, famously visiting the club and holding talks with manager Jurgen Klopp. Along with Klopp, Doku also met with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Sadio Mane during the 2018 visit as management turned on the charm.

In the end, the 19 year-old chose Rennes, but the striker remains on Liverpool's radar.

And it's now suggested Liverpool, with Klopp eager to refresh his attack for the new season, could bid for the €45m-rated Doku in the coming weeks.

Last season, Doku played 44 games, scoring four goals and producing eight assists. He also twice played for Belgium at Euro 2020, including their quarterfinal defeat to Italy.

The striker has a deal with Rennes to 2025.
