Liverpool complete signing of Swedish forward Kapocs | OneFootball

Liverpool have completed the signing of Swedish forward Cornelia Kapocs from OBOS Damallsvenskan club Linköping FC.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds this afternoon.

The 24-year-old moves to Liverpool after spending the last three-and-a-half seasons playing in the Swedish top flight with Linköping FC. Kapocs netted 32 goals in 83 league outings for her former club. The forward has also turned out for Kungsbacka, Ljusdal and Uppsala in her club career to date.

On the international stage, Kapocs is still awaiting an opportunity to feature for Sweden at senior level. She has represented her country at various youth levels.

After securing her move to Liverpool, Kapocs said “I’m very happy and very proud to be here.

“I like the way the team plays and I also feel that I can grow and develop here as a player and as a person, so this is the right place to take the next step in my career.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans and I can’t wait to get started and play in front of them.

“What the team did last season was amazing and I’m very happy to join this journey.”

Kapocs is Liverpool’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
