Liverpool are reportedly closing in on an agreement with Mohamed Salah over a new contract.

The Egyptian forward is nearing the end of his current deal at Anfield, and negotiations for an extension have hit a few bumps along the way.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Salah is now ‘close’ to signing a new deal, which would be a massive boost for a club on the brink of winning the Premier League.

There’s a growing belief that the 32-year-old, who’s netted 243 goals in 395 appearances for Liverpool, will commit to staying at the club.

Despite his contract situation, Salah has kept his focus on the pitch, racking up 44 goal contributions this season
