Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has warned his players he doesn't want mopers next season if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Players like Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are already on the radar of the top European clubs.
But Klopp was emphatic in his assessment of the situation, making clear they are all responsible if they fail to qualify for the Champions League and must sort out the mess they've created.
“We are not kids in a candy shop who are not getting the candies," he said bluntly.
“We are responsible for the situation we are in, and nobody will watch next season's Champions League and lie in front of the television and cry if we are not involved.
“The good things that happened in the last few years we did together and this season we did together as well. That is the situation in football. That is completely normal. That will not be a challenge."
Klopp though, made it painfully clear that if anyone is moping or sulking about missing out on the top four, then he will root out the problem swiftly and ruthlessly.
“The reaction from this season we will show together as well," he explained.
“If somebody would struggle with that hopefully I would realise and I could solve that situation early.
“I am pretty sure I would recognise it early. All the rest we will sort it....you can trust me."
