Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists he has no concern over Sadio Mane's form.

While Mane has scored twice already this season, he has missed a number of clear opportunities - most notably in last Sunday's 3-0 win at Leeds United - and was benched for Wednesday's 3-2 Champions League win over AC Milan at Anfield.

"Sadio looks really good and really sharp," said the Reds boss on Friday. "We talk about these things when a striker misses some chances, but that he has the amount of chances he has, that's actually the important stuff.

"Sadio is in a good moment and he will get there one day (to 100 goals) - it would be nice if he got there tomorrow!

"Physically and I think mentally as well, (he is) really confident and you can see that. A player misses a chance and he doesn't look desperate or whatever, he has a smile on his face and knows he could have done better.

"It's all good but of course Sadio is an exceptional player so he has to perform exceptional, that's how it is, that's the standard we expect from him and he usually delivers."

Klopp also praised Divock Origi today for his performance against Milan.

"It was absolutely exceptional coming in and playing like this," he said. "We play a lot of games now and train a lot in the last few weeks, and in the international break Div was with us. He could show up and we could see what shape he is in.

"It's the same for all players, in all weeks you aren't always in the same shape but he was really coming up and showed up in training and that's why I decided to start him in the game.

"There's still the possibility that it's not so easy (for Origi) but he was really focused on the game and wasn't thinking about whether he'd played the last 10 games or not.

"He played a really good game and helped us a lot, not only offensively but defensively as well. A nice little chip for Mo was obviously an incredibly important moment. I'm really happy for him.

"He had cramps at the end of the game, we have to see what that means for tomorrow but he looked really good."
